Congratulations and welcome to the Minions of Mulcahy orientation page.

Your mission this Fantasy Fest will be to safeguard the lives of the King and Queen of Fantasy Fest, impel yourself into the face of danger, unselfishly yield your life for those of your brethren, faithfully defend the sovereignty of the United States of America against all adversaries, and throw a few beads while you're at it.

Below are a few costume suggestions to help make the Minions a cohesive and handsome looking team. :-)

We are trying to achieve a type of Secret Service, MiB, Crazy 88, type theme.

For the guys, this means a Black suit and tie, (no white, brown or blue suits please, only Black)

For girls, a Black suit and tie, or a black skirt is fine. (Please don't come as Uma Thurman in a yellow jump suit cause then everyone will want to do it and we'll have too many "Umas" running around which will ruin the continuity of the team)

Black suits can be purchased rather cheaply from the Salvation Army store on Fleming Street, or Second Hand Sam's on Stock Island.

The cheapest sunglasses on the island are probably available from K-Mart or Eckerd's, and they have an ample supply of black "Kato" masks at Ben Franklin for about a dollar.

If you want to get really fancy you can buy a spy hat (black "Ska" fedora) on the internet for about $20.00

We have also mocked-up personalized Secret Service ID badges which are fun and easy to make.

Right Click and Select "Save Picture As..."

Simply download the template image, (add your own photo if desired) print in full color on a regular sheet of paper, cut it out with a pair of scissors, and take it to Office Max for lamination, (about 1 dollar) They can even print the image for you for 49 cents.

Punch a hole in it and hang it from a lanyard or clip it to your pocket.

Walkie Talkies, ear phones, wrist radios, Neuralizers (flashy messer-upper thingies), would also make an awesome accessory.

The Fantasy Fest organizers and the Key West Police Department in particular severely frown upon the carrying of any type of prop-guns, toy guns, air-soft rifles, etc. A Noisy Cricket might be acceptable, but I would advise against bringing anything that even remotely hints at being a real gun. Besides, you will probably want to throw beads and enjoy a few drinks anyway, so it's not a good idea to carry anything that you will have to hold in your hands.

The parade starts at 7:00PM. 10/25/2008. (The float actually arrives at the staging area at about 12:00 noon)

We suggest you arrive at the staging area at least one hour early (6:00PM), or even a couple of hours early to enjoy a few warm up drinks, chat with your team mates and soak up a little of the Fantasy Fest ambience before kick off time.

Congratulations, you're a Minion!
