Where exactly IS the Apache helicopter, and how do I get one?
The AH-64 Apache is available in any city that has a military “F-15b” tile. In regular Sim City 2000 mode, or in the SCURK editor, the F-15b tile will look just like a small fighter jet, but in SimCopter, it will appear as the Apache Helicopter. In the final career mission map (number 29 “Megatropolis”) the Apache is located near the coast, directly across the street from the University, (due east in the center of the block).  
Apache (F-15b) tile with surrounding buildings removed for a better view  You can also use the Free Chopper cheat code to summon the Apache in any SimCopter map. You can also use the SCURK editor to manually place the Apache helicopter (F-15b) anywhere in the map you want. Warning. Once you provide for an Apache helicopter in your map, a UFO will automatically appear and begin causing damage to your city. The UFO basically starts a lot of fires, and “beams” citizens off the face of the planet You can use the Apache helicopter to shoot down the UFO. Press M for missile or space-bar for machine gun. Generally, about 10 missiles or “a lot” of bullets will bring down the UFO. You will receive about 1000 bonus points for shooting down the UFO. If the UFO crashes in water, you will receive even more bonus points for rescuing any surviving abductees. |
