We will not be doing a float this year.
In lieu of the fact that 2017 was our 20th anniversary, we decided it would be a good time to retire (semi retire) and take the opportunity to actually ENJOY the Festival instead of having to worry about the bazillion things that need to be done for the float, and basically missing out on all the other events, because we are always too busy. I can’t say “We will never do another float again”, (that’s what they all say) but we are definitely taking a well earned vacation, and will probably adopt Fast Buck Freddie’s strategy of only doing a float every other year, or something like that. It has been an honor and privilege to represent Key West in the Fantasy Fest Parade for the past 20 years. A sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed time, money, help and inspiration over the years. You remind people that there is still a bit of magic in the world.
